It is increasingly difficult for many native birds to survive or to find a suitable shelter to procreate. The avian mortality rate is greatly affected by urbanization, deforestation, pollution, and habitat loss. Many local factors such as pesticides can impact birds' survival rates. Our design objective is creating sustainable birdhouses to help birds to safely procreate the avian population. BirdCASA is aesthetically designed with simple construction methods, which can be easily made by the masses. We aim to raise awareness of bird ecology through birdhouse construction as a family activity or for bird enthusiasts to make more avian habitats locations globally. By placing the BirdCASA at the right height and location will invite birds of various kinds to settle in their desired homes.
